Dashii is a digital tipping platform for Nigeria. You get a personal payment link and QR code. Anyone can open your link or scan your code, enter an amount and tip you by bank transfer. Tips are paid to your bank account.

A Dash is a tip sent on Dashii. A Dasher is the person who sends it. A Dashii is the person or business who receives it. One Individual account can both send and receive.

Go to dashii.me and tap Sign up. Enter your email, type in the 6-character code we send you, then choose your tag (up to 12 characters). Your tag becomes your link: dashii.me/u/yourtag. You'll verify your identity later.

Individual accounts are for people, such as creators and service workers. They can send and receive tips. Business accounts are for registered businesses, such as restaurants, salons and hotels. They receive tips only, and their link looks like dashii.me/b/yourtag. Choose the right tab when you sign up.

Anyone aged 18 or over with a Nigerian bank account in their name, and any business registered in Nigeria. You'll need to verify your identity before tips are paid to you.

No. Open the person's link or scan their QR code, enter an amount and your email address, and pay by bank transfer. We use your email to send you a receipt.

Open the receiver's link or scan their QR code. Enter the amount, add a note if you like, and enter your email. You'll see an account number and the exact amount to send. Transfer that amount from your banking app, then tap I have paid.

Yes. With a Dashii account you can use Quick Send to tip someone by their tag or email, scan their QR code with Scan to Tip, or pick someone from your Recent Contacts.

Yes. Add an optional note of up to 24 characters, such as a thank you or quick feedback on the service. The receiver sees it with the tip, in their transaction details and in their tip email.

Type their email into Quick Send and we'll offer to send them an invite to join. No tip is sent until they have an account.

Either works. The link and the QR code open the same payment page.

The payment page shows the receiver's photo or logo, bio and social links. The account name on the transfer details reads Dashii - [their tag].

Right now, tips are paid by bank transfer from a Nigerian bank account. Apple Pay and Google Pay are coming back soon.

Sign up, then complete your profile. Individuals add a photo and a short bio. Businesses add a logo and a short bio, then verify the business. Once that's done, your payment link and QR code go live.

For an Individual, your profile isn't complete yet: add your photo and bio. For a Business, your link goes live only once your profile is complete and your business is verified.

Your QR code is created for you when you sign up. Find it in the QR Code tab, where you can download, print, email or share it once your link is active.

If you have a printed Dashii QR code, you can link it to your account from the QR Code tab by scanning it or typing in its code. Tips sent through it come to you.

Your photo or logo, your bio and up to 4 social links, so they know they're tipping the right person.

Yes. If a Dasher adds a note, it shows with the tip in your transaction details and in your tip email. Businesses can use these notes as customer feedback.

If you haven't verified your identity yet, tips you receive are held as Pending. Verify with your BVN or NIN and add your bank account, and they're released to you. Otherwise, Pending means your tip is on its way to your bank.

Once you're verified, tips are usually paid to your bank shortly after the Dasher's transfer is confirmed.

Yes. We email you when a tip is paid to your bank. If a tip is being held because you haven't verified yet, we email you about that too.

Open the Transactions tab. You can search, filter by status, date or method, and export your history as a CSV.

Verification confirms who you are before we pay tips to you, which keeps Dashii safe for everyone. It also raises how much you can receive per tip.

We use your BVN or NIN only to confirm your identity and the name on your account, and we protect it as described in our Privacy Policy. We never show it to anyone else.

Yes. Each tip can be up to the receiver's limit: ₦9,899 per tip before they verify, ₦100,000 per tip at Tier 1 and ₦300,000 per tip at Tier 2. The minimum tip is ₦500.

No. Once you've verified, you stay at that level or above.

Bank transfer from any Nigerian bank account.

Not yet. Apple Pay and Google Pay are coming back soon. Until then, they show as unavailable on the payment page.

Signing up and receiving tips is free. The Dasher pays a small fee on each tip, so the receiver gets the full amount:

The fee already includes stamp duty. There are no other charges.

30 minutes. The payment page shows a countdown. If time runs out, tap Start again to get a new account number.

The tip won't go through, and your transfer is refunded minus a ₦30 processing charge.

The payment page shows "Your Dash was successful", and we email you a receipt.

Some bank transfers take a few minutes to arrive. Keep the page open and tap I have paid. If it still hasn't confirmed, contact us with your receipt.

Too little: the tip isn't sent. Your transfer is refunded minus a ₦30 processing charge. Tap Restart Transaction to pay the right amount.

Too much: the tip goes through. If the extra is ₦500 or more, it's refunded minus a ₦30 processing charge. Smaller extras aren't refunded.

Separate transfers are never added together, so always send the exact amount shown in one transfer.

The second transfer is refunded minus a ₦30 processing charge.

It covers the cost of receiving your transfer and sending it back. We never keep the Dashii fee on a refunded payment.

Refunds go back to the account the money came from, typically within 72 hours.

Enter your email or your tag, then type in the 6-character code we send to your email. Codes expire after 10 minutes.

Yes, once every 30 days, from your Profile. Your payment link, QR code and referral link change with it, and the old ones stop working straight away, so share or print your new QR code. Linked QR Codes keep working. Your old tag is held for 7 days before anyone else can take it.

Yes. Once you've verified your identity, manage your bank account from the Bank tab. The account must be in your name, or for a Business, in the business's or the Director's name.

Your display name comes from your verified identity (or your CAC record for a Business), so it can't be edited.

Yes. Payments are processed by licensed partner banks, and Dashii does not hold customer funds. Every receiver verifies their identity before tips are paid out.
